The Finedon Sessions

Finedon Sessions

The Finedon Sessions present high quality acoustic roots concerts at the Finedon Community Centre, a superb venue situated in the town of Finedon, Northants. They are held on the first Fridays in February, May and November, and feature top name acts from the world of folk, blues and roots, plus supports from the cream of the UK's up and coming acoustic talent.

As well as playing host to wonderful emerging artists such as Bex Marshall and Emily Maguire, the Sessions also frequently include legends such as Julie Felix, The Pretty Things (Acoustic), Richard Digance, and The Bonzos, acts who invariably attract capacity audiences.

The concerts are organised by Kontra Roots Promotions in association with the Finedon Community Centre committee, and tickets are very modestly priced. They can either be bought on the door or pre-booked by phoning 01933 398377 (also for enquiries).

Finedon Community Centre is a converted methodist church, and the first floor concert hall, with its high wood vaulted ceiling, excellent acoustics and atmosphere, is recognised as one of the finest in the east midlands for acoustic music.

Refreshments, including real ales from the local Potbelly Brewery, are available during the evening, and concerts start at 8.00. Doors are open from 7.15pm. Finedon Community Centre is on the Wellingborough Road, Finedon, Northants NN9 5LG.
